The National Road Safety Council, MKKJR in collaboration with the Brunei Darussalam Cycling Federation, BDCF, held cycling activities, 8th April night, for the pilot project “Riadah Berbasikal Setiap Rabu Malam" or "Cycling Recreation Every Wednesday Night" as an ongoing initiative to improve road safety. The initiative provides alternative routes for cycling activities in the Brunei Muara District.
The routes cover Jalan Perdana Menteri, Jalan Ong Sum Ping, Jalan Kebangsaan and Jalan Menteri Besar, which are dedicated to the event every Wednesday night, starting from 8 in the evening to 12 midnight. The implementation of the pilot project aims to assess the suitability and effectiveness of providing safe cycling routes through the concept of sharing the road with other users in the country.
